A kerbside bin collection service is available in Leeton Yanco, Whitton, Wamoon, Stanbridge and Murrami.
Your general waste Red bin is serviced every week.
Your recycling Yellow bin is serviced on alternate weeks and is collected fortnightly on the same day as your general waste bin.
Bins must be on the kerbside the night before the collection day and then removed from the kerbside by 6pm the day of collection.
Bin Guidelines
To assist drivers, face bin-lid openings to the road and ensure bins are half (½) metre apart and placed no further than half (½) metre from the road. Keep bins clear of any obstacles such as cars, mailboxes or trees.
Bins must not weigh more than 75kg (kilograms), or they will not be collected.
Bin Repairs and Replacements
After lodging a repair request, please put your bin on the kerb for your next regular general waste Red bin collection day. Please leave your bin on the kerb until it has been repaired or a new bin has been issued. You can continue to use the bin during this time.
For further information please contact Council on 02 6953 0911 or email council@leeton.nsw.gov.au
Missing or Stolen Bins
Before reporting a missing or stolen bin, please look up and down your street and check that your neighbours have not taken your bin by mistake.
For all stolen bins, residents may be required to provide a police record number to secure a new bin.
If the resident is not the property owner, then the owner's agent or property owner will need to contact Council.
To report a missing or stolen bin, and for further information, please contact Council on 02 6953 0911 or email council@leeton.nsw.gov.au
Found or Abandoned Bins
Should you find a bin that is not yours, please notify Council and we will collect it as soon as possible. Please leave the abandoned bin on the kerbside for collection.
