Leeton Shire Council is planning a new dog park to replace the existing facility on Brobenah Road, which will make way for a future housing development. Following two targeted consultation sessions with users of the current dog park on Brobenah Road, four possible locations have been shortlisted. Community feedback is now sought to help identify the preferred site.
Council recently undertook the Automated Meter Reading (Taggle) project, installing smart water meters at 99% of properties serviced by reticulated water networks.
Automated meter reading enables Council to gather information that can be used for leak detection, demand management, load balancing and network planning and optimisation.
The data will provide large-scale insights for better water network management, resulting in significant savings for Council and customers.
