Council is seeking a self-motivated and experienced professional to supervise the Water and Wastewater maintenance, construction and general works, ensuring quality control of projects whilst maintaining a safe workplace.

  • A base salary of $62,498 - $69,648 will be negotiated with the preferred candidate (plus allowances and 12% superannuation)
  • Currently a 9-day fortnight (76 hours – Monday to Friday).

    On-call overtime and weekend work is a requirement.


The Position

The key components of the position include:

  • Supervision of team ensuring quality control of projects.
  • Evaluating performance and identifying training needs.
  • Team building and team development.
  • Labouring work associated with all water and wastewater maintenance, construction and general works.
  • Laying piping and/or formworks as and when required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate II in Water Industry Operations (Network Operations) with at least 2 years' relevant work experience.
  • Possess and maintain a current Class HR driving licence. Failure to retain at least a minimum Class C driving licence may be grounds for dismissal.
  • Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award. Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a “Functional Assessment” which includes an “Alcohol and Other Drug” screening.
