Leeton Shire Council is seeking a qualified and motivated Town Planner to join our Planning, Building & Health team. This position is available on a full-time or part-time basis, offering flexibility for the right candidate.
This position is responsible for:
- The assessment and determination of development applications
- Providing strategic planning advice to Council
- Ensuring compliance with all planning-related reporting requirements
- Administering Council’s Heritage Advisory Services
Qualifications and Experience
- A Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a closely related discipline with 2-4 relevant experience are required.
Salary and Conditions
- The position is Grade 12–15 (with a full-time pay range of $77,079.60 to $101,353.19) in Council’s salary system depending on qualifications and experience.
- The full-time position is 70 hours per fortnight, with a monthly rostered day off.
- Part-time flexible arrangements are available for the right candidate.
- Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
- Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo and successfully pass a Drug and Alcohol screening and Pre-employment Functional Assessment.
