Council is seeking applications from hard working and self-motivated individuals to fill a position within the Utilities, Environment & Emergency Services Department.
Qualifications and Experience
- The applicants should have a general knowledge of construction, maintenance and associated works regarding all water, wastewater, sewerage, drainage and related furnishings.
- A class C licence, good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.
Salary and Conditions
- The position is Grade 2 in Council’s salary system (from $1,036.70 to $1,161.00 per week plus 12% superannuation and applicable allowances) depending upon qualifications and experience.
- Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
- The full-time position is 38 hours per week with a fortnightly Rostered Day Off.
- Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo and successfully pass a “Functional Assessment” which includes a Drug and Alcohol and a Hearing Test.
