About Cr Tracey Morris
Tracey Morris has been a Councillor on Leeton Shire Council since December 2012.
Cr Morris was born and raised in Leeton attending St Joseph’s Primary School and St Francis College until her completion of Year 10 when she then went to boarding school attending St Josephs in Albury to complete Year 11 and 12.
Tracey successfully completed a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and Tourism Management. She is also a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA Australia accredited) and has undertaken a range of other courses as part of her professional development in the various high level financial management roles she has held over many years. She is currently the Financial Controller of Webster Ltd with two of its businesses being Walnuts Australia and Kooba station located in our Shire.
Tracey has also been involved in a family citrus farming business for the past 35 years and assisted the local grower body during this time. She has had many years of being involved with school and sporting committees as well as the former Leeton Tourism Committee.
This is Tracey’s second term of Council and she is extremely grateful to have been re-elected. Having already spent a term on Council she believes that this enables her to apply the knowledge she has gained from her previous four years and continue to secure our Fit for the Future position which Council worked so hard for in this past term. Her strong business and agricultural skills are a major advantage that she brings to the Council meeting table.
As Chair of Council’s Internal Audit Committee she will endeavour to continue to effectively and efficiently utilise the resources we have available for a sustainable future.
Cr Morris sees Leeton Shire Council remaining Fit for the Future, improving and maintaining our asset renewal program, expanding business opportunities and exploring shared facilities whilst ensuring no loss of services and better utilising what we currently have as the key priorities over the next four years.
