The residents of Whitton are now able to cross the main road more safely thanks to the installation of a new pedestrian refuge and access ramps.

The project was done in response to requests from the Whitton Town Improvement Committee who wanted to see a safer crossing for children and people with disabilities.

Council engaged the services of Cornerstone Concrete Constructions with funding provided by Transport for NSW.

Coming up next is line marking for carparks, including a disability marked zone.
