Leeton Shire Council is currently seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the purpose of managing the Recycling Shop located at the Leeton Landfill and Recycling depot.
Council is committed to increase the amount of waste being diverted from our landfill and wishes to facilitate the recovery, recycling, and repurposing of waste materials. The purpose of the Recycling Shop is to upcycle items considered to be waste and re-use them as resources which can be sold.
Council is committed to supporting the operations of the recycling shop to ensure its ongoing viability. The recycling shop operator will be expected to collaborate closely with Leeton Shire Council's Waste Department and contribute to the community's waste reduction goals. Council aims to work with individuals focused on salvaging and upcycling as many items as possible for resale or reuse.
Interested parties are invited to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) to Council, including a brief business case that outlines the required support and explains how the business will be managed.
EOIs are to be submitted in person at Leeton Shire Council's offices located at 23-25 Chelmsford Place Leeton NSW 2705 or via email to council@leeton.nsw.gov.au by close of business on Tuesday, 25 February 2025.
For further information please contact Council's Waste & Recycling Coordinator, Guy Retallick, on (02) 6953 0911.
