Residents of Leeton Shire are encouraged to share their experiences of access to local health services through a health services survey conducted by Rural Doctors Network.
Key strategic documents that outline Council’s commitment to maintaining and building a strong, vibrant and sustainable future for the Leeton Shire community are now on public exhibition following endorsement by Council at its first Ordinary meeting in May.

Council is pleased to announce it will be running a ‘Dump for Free’ weekend in September for Leeton Shire residents.
Details are as follows:
Saturday 24 September 2022 Sunday 25 September 2022 Leeton Landfill and Recycling Centre and Whitton Transfer Station 8am to 4pm
Residents who would like to take advantage of the free entry at the Leeton and Whitton facilities on the Dump for Free weekend can dispose of general domestic waste including garden rubbish, mixed recyclables and general waste.

Council also takes this opportunity to remind residents of the free Community Recycling Centre (CRC) located at the Leeton Landfill that is available for free all year round.
The CRC is a permanent drop-off centre for common household problem wastes that can’t be collected via council kerbside waste and recycling collection services. The CRC can accept paint, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, motor oils, other oil, car and household batteries, smoke detectors and Fluro globes/tubes.
The Centre can be accessed 7 days per week during operational hours.
