Community Strengthening Grants 2025/26 – Round 1 Now Open

Leeton Shire Council is pleased to advise that applications are now open for Round One of Council’s Community Strengthening Grants program.

This funding is available to support community groups and organisations in their endeavours to establish, strengthen and/or implement projects which will benefit the Leeton Shire community.

Grants are capped at $2,000 each.

Applications for this grant will close at 5pm on Friday, 31 October 2025.

To assist community groups and organisations with their application, Council is pleased to announce two free grant writing workshops to be held on 29 September and 13 October at 5pm at the Leeton Shire Library. Drop-ins are welcome and no RSVPs are required.

Previous recipients include the Leeton Basketball Association for the purchase of basketball training equipment to enhance player development, Leeton Filipino Catholic Choir for the purchase of musical instruments, Leeton Jumpstart for catering and venue hire for Gambling Awareness Workshop, St. Vincent De Paul Society for the purchase of blankets for the Vinnies Blanket Drive and St. Joseph’s Primary School for hire of Roxy and music equipment and labour for School Musical.

Other grant programs are also available to the Leeton Shire community and Council encourages those interested to read the guidelines thoroughly to check eligibility.
