Council awarded a Youth Development Grant of $250 to Chloe Mallamace to assist her with the costs of attending the NSW Primary School Football Championships to be held in Ballina from 26–28 August 2025.

Chloe earned her place in the Riverina PSSA Girls Football Team after progressing through school, zone and regional trials. Starting at Leeton Public School, she was selected for the school representative side, then the zone team, before impressing at the Riverina trials where she secured one of just 12 spots from a field of around 60 players. This marks her third year of achievement at this level, having been a reserve in 2023 and part of the team in 2024.

She will join fellow Leeton local and recent Youth Development Grant recipient Ava Weymouth at the NSW Primary Girls U12 Championships, where they will represent the Riverina against the state’s top young footballers.

Council wishes her all the best and looks forward to receiving a report about her experience.

The ‘Youth Development’ Grant Category is offered at a set amount of $250 per applicant and is available to support high achievement in a cultural, academic, or sporting activity that requires attendance at a State, National or International level event.
