2024/25 Round Two Community Strengthening Grants Awarded

Council approved 11 applications for funding totalling $19,500 under Round Two of the 2024/25 Council Community Strengthening Grants Scheme as recommended by the Community Grant Funding Committee.

$2,000 for purchase of musical instruments for the choir |
Leeton Jumpstart |
$1,620 for catering and venue hire for gambling awareness workshop |
Leeton Yanco Swimming Club |
$2,000 for purchase of a new laptop, 2 x monitors and keyboard/mouse |
Rapid Relief Team |
$1,580 for Leeton Care Kit Project 2025 |
St. Joseph’s Primary School (auspiced by St. Joseph’s P&F) |
$1,500 for hire of Roxy and music equipment and labour for School Musical |
St. Vincent De Paul Society |
$1,000 for purchase of blankets for the Vinnies blanket drive |
Leeton Pipe Band (auspiced by Canberra Pipes & Drums) |
$2,000 for hire of Roxy for ‘Splash of Tartan’ performance |
Walking Football NSW |
$2,000 for purchase of soccer equipment for ‘Walking Soccer’ program |
“The community groups that have applied for this round of community grant funding have presented a diverse mix of initiatives that Council is proud to support,” said Councillor and Community Grant Funding Committee member Sandra Nardi.
“From exciting arts and cultural programs and new recreational activities to essential administrative upgrades for local sporting clubs, these projects reflect the strength and vitality of Leeton Shire’s arts, cultural, and sporting communities.”
