Council awarded an application for funding totalling $250 to Ruby Miller under the 2023/24 Council Community Strengthening Grants Scheme (in the ‘Youth Development’ category).
The ‘Youth Development’ Grant Category is offered at a set amount of $250 per applicant and is available to support high achievement in a cultural, academic, or sporting activity that requires attendance at a State, National or International level event.
The grant has been awarded to Ruby to assist with the travel costs associated with accompanying the NSW Combined Netball Team to the All Schools Australia Netball Championships in Perth, WA, between 29 July and 4 August, as one of two umpires. Ruby was selected as the only CHS NSW umpire which is a great achievement.
Council wishes Ruby all the best and looks forward to receiving a report about her experience.
