Residents of Leeton Shire are encouraged to share their experiences of access to local health services through a health services survey conducted by Rural Doctors Network.
Key strategic documents that outline Council’s commitment to maintaining and building a strong, vibrant and sustainable future for the Leeton Shire community are now on public exhibition following endorsement by Council at its first Ordinary meeting in May.

Council approved seven applications for funding totalling $10,503.90 under Round 1 of the 2023/24 Council Community Strengthening Grants Scheme as recommended by the Community Grant Funding Working Group.
The recipients approved for funding were:
Gogeldrie RFS Community Gym
$659 for the purchase of a battery powered blower vac to clean the fire shed floor before gym classes.
Leeton Aqua Exercise (auspiced by MLHD)
$2,000 for the purchase of equipment to run low-cost water aerobics classes for older people in Leeton Shire.
Leeton Connect
$1,845 for the purchase of two mobile phones for the Coordinator and Grants Support Officer.
"The Community Strengthening Grants program is a testament to our acknowledgment and appreciation of local community groups and volunteers. It’s a means to empower them to create lasting impact and fostering a stronger, more connected Leeton Shire," said Councillor and Community Grant Funding Working Group member Paul Smith.
