Community Transport - social outing

The Narrandera Leeton Community Transport Program provides transport services to frail aged people aged 65 years and older, or 50 years and older and identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, who need support to remain living independently at home and their carers, or those who are transport disadvantaged and reside in the Leeton or Narrandera Shires. This service provides travel for shopping, social outings and medical appointments both locally and out of town, and have wheelchair accessible transport available.

Bookings are essential and can be made through the office staff at the Leeton Multipurpose Community Centre located at 3-5 Wade Avenue Leeton. Office hours are 9am to 4.30pm (closed between 1pm–2pm), Monday to Friday.

For further enquiries please contact the Community Transport Coordinator on 02 6959 5555 (Narrandera) or 02 6953 6999 (Leeton), or email council@narrandera.nsw.gov.au.

Volunteers are the backbone of our service. Without them we could not continue to provide affordable and flexible transport options. Being a Community Transport Volunteer Driver is a rewarding role as you will be working with great people from all walks of life. If you think this sounds like something you would like to do, contact our office to learn more about joining our team.
