The Leeton Youth Committee are excited to bring a jam packed calendar of events from Friday 13th April to Sunday 22nd April to celebrate NSW Youth Week 2018.
Leeton Shire Council’s Community Development Coordinator, Sarah Collis, said this year we have partnered with the Leeton Roxy Community Theatre and the Leeton Library, as well as local organisations and community members such as GetSet Inc, Totem Skateboarding and the Leeton Community Op Shop to pull together an amazing program of events.
The festivities kick off with the 15th Annual "Riggs Cup" Riverina Skate Championships on Easter Monday 2 April with the event hosted by Totem Skateboarding. Totem will be sticking around for Youth Week to run two FREE skate workshops on Saturday 21 April, one in Whitton Skatepark from 10am – 12pm and one at McCaughey Park in Yanco from 2pm-4pm.
The Leeton Youth Committee are also excited to announce that they will be screening the new release ‘Jumanji – Welcome to the Jungle’ (PG) at an Outdoor Movie Night at the Leeton Multipurpose Centre on Friday 13th April at 7pm. Gold coin on entry.
The Leeton Roxy Community Theatre will host a FREE drama workshop for young people from renowned comedian/acrobat Tom Flanagan on Tuesday 17 April. There is also the opportunity to see Tom’s multi-award winning family show ‘Kaput’ on Wednesday 18 April which will leave audiences in stitches. Tickets are $13 per person or $46 for a family pass and can be purchased from the Roxy Box Office.
