Due to unexpected delays with drainage infrastructure works this week, Wade Avenue (between Kurrajong Avenue and
Jarrah Street) closure will be extended for a further 7 days to all traffic. This means that the reopening will now occur on
the 2 August 2020, instead of 27 July 2020. Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thank you for
continued support towards the enhancement of the town centre.
Access from Wade Avenue to Jarrah Street will be closed. All traffic will be required to access Jarrah Street via Reservoir
Lane. Additional disabled parking will be available at the Wade Avenue end of Jarrah Street – please follow all traffic
management signage and adhere to any instructions provide by Boots Construction Traffic management personnel.
Parking will continue to be available in Jarrah St, around Mountford Park and adjacent to the Leeton Court House (within
the vacant lot) on the corner of Church and Oak Streets.
In order to further support property owners/tenants, please also be aware that during this closure period Roxy Lane will be
open to TWO WAY traffic.
Pedestrian access along both sides of Wade Avenue will remain in place during the closure period, allowing normal
access to all businesses and shopfronts.
Please contact Council's Manager Special Projects, Adrian Edgcome-Lucas, on 02 6953 0911 for any queries.
