Leeton Shire
Council is actively encouraging residents to undertake this year’s Regional
Wellbeing Survey, facilitated by the University of Canberra.
Council’s General Manager Jackie Kruger stated that the survey collects important information about residents’ quality of life in different regional communities across Australia.
Mrs Kruger noted, “The results of this survey provide important wellbeing indicators for the Leeton Community Strategic Plan and help track trends over time.”
The Regional Wellbeing Survey has six parts:
· Questions about the quality of life and liveability of your community.
· Questions about your health and wellbeing, and your household.
· Questions about the drought and its effects.
· Questions about land management and farming (with some parts only asked if you are a farmer).
There is no limit on how many people in each household can complete the survey if they wish.
Mayor Paul Maytom said “This is a very important survey for Leeton, and we need to ensure that we get at least 100 survey respondents so that we get our own set of meaningful data published for Leeton Shire.”
“It is vital to get as many residents as possible to complete the survey between now and Friday, 20 December.”
If you register and complete the survey by midnight on Friday, 20 December you will also go into the running to win a very special prize offered by the University of Canberra.
