Council Adopts a Plan of Management for Reserves 89629 and 97727 – Children’s Services Lands

Council adopted a Plan of Management for Reserves 89629 and 97727 – Children’s Services Lands at its September Ordinary Meeting.

Section 3.23(6) and (7) of the Crown Lands Management Act 2016 requires Council to adopt a Plan of Management for each reserve for which it is appointed Crown Land Manager.

Before the Plan of Management was adopted, Council was unable to properly deal with the land, excepting for entering into 12-month short-term licences.

A Plan of Management must be adopted by Council by 30 June 2021.

Council placed the draft Plan of Management on public exhibition for public consultation from 3 July 2020 with a closing date of 31 July 2020.

There were no submissions received within this period.

Council’s Director Operations Peter Keane said  the  adopted  Plan  of  Management enables flexibility of the use of the Reserve by Council existing users and the community.
