Council notifies the community and residents of construction works in Palm Avenue /Dooley Lane.
These works are in response to Groundwater issues that have been identified along most of Dooley Lane and signs of pavement deterioration along Palm Avenue.
Installation of sub-soil drainage has been undertaken from Dooley Lane to Tindle Lane, as well as up Dooley Lane towards Cedar Street. This should reduce the standing sub-surface water level. The saturated ground will take significant time to continue to drain, however now there is an outlet point for this water to exit into the existing drainage network in the area.
