Jeremy Scott was just four years old when he underwent life-saving open heart surgery to repair a huge hole in his aortic valve. His surgeon was Heart Foundation-funded cardiologist the late Sir Brian Barratt-Boyes. Since surviving this rocky start to life, Jeremy has demonstrated what it truly means to live life to the full.
He spent two years and seven months cycling 51,916kms through 29 countries in an adventure many of us only dream about. During his travels he raised desperately needed funds for the Heart Foundation and continues to do so today with the publication of his beautful book The Long Road from a Broken Heart. A percentage of the sale of each book is generously donated to the Heart Foundation. He has raised over $550,000.
Jeremy will be the guest speaker at Leeton Central Rotary meeting on Monday 4th June.
