The coming school holidays are filled with fun activities sponsored by Leeton Shire Council and Youth Week.
Leeton
Out of School Care has an exciting Vacation Program organised commencing 28 September
which

Totem
Skateboarding is running two Beginner’s Skate Workshops for ages five and over,
on Friday 2 October, 3pm to 5pm, at Leeton Skate Park. Bookings are essential at
www.totemskateboarding.com.
The
Riggz Cup Skate, Scooter and BMX Championships kicks off at the Leeton Skate Park
at 11am on Monday 5 October, with a $5 registration fee for competitors and free
entry for spectators and lots of prizes and giveaways. You can also register in
advance at www.totemskateboarding.com.
Leeton’s
Rapid Relief team will be serving a barbeque on the day and a coffee van will also
be supplying refreshments.
Council is also sponsoring a game of laser tag at the Family Fun Day hosted by Creative Community Concepts at Gossamer Park on Wednesday 7 October from 11am to 12.30pm.
All events will be run using COVID safe procedures and we ask that you don’t attend if you are feeling unwell.
“Our
Youth Week activities and the Skate Championships which are normally held around
April had to be postponed because of the
COVID shutdown,” said Wendell Peacock, Council’s Manager Community Services.
“We’re
glad that we can start bringing small events and activities back for the community
and ask that those attending remember to maintain social distancing and hand sanitising
while enjoying the opportunity to be active.”
