The Leeton Youth Committee will once again partner with Totem Skateboarding to bring the 15th Annual “Riggs” Cup Riverina Skate Championships.
Founders of Totem Skateboarding and former Leeton locals, Nigel and David Cameron said that the action packed event, held from 11am to 4pm on Easter Monday 2nd April at the Leeton Skatepark, will feature thrills and spills as part of the celebrations of the Leeton SunRice Festival and Youth Week 2018.
“We're super excited to announce the 15th Annual, Riggs Cup line up for 2018! Sydney Skateboarding legends Ryder Lawson, Cameron Markin and Chris Vaughan (originally from Yenda, won the cup in 2012) are in the mix for this year's event so come down and watch these guys do what they do best!”
This is the 15th year local twins David and Nigel Cameron have organised this event in partnership with the Leeton Youth Committee and the Leeton Shire Council.
David and Nigel further added that it really is outstanding to see the Leeton Shire supporting their youth for so many years.
“The competition continues to grow in numbers, skill level and support from the community with each year and we can't wait to see what 2018 brings".
The day includes Scooter, BMX and skateboarding divisions for ages 5years, Demonstrations and giveaways. Not to mention the $2,000.00 + worth of product for giveaways and everyone's favourite, the "product toss"!
The event is open to skateboards, scooters and BMX bikes with demonstrations, prizes and giveaways.
Registrations for the event are $5 per entry and can be done on the day from 10am with competition commencing at 11am. Minimum age is 5 and entry into the skate park is by gold coin donation.
