Residents of Leeton Shire are encouraged to share their experiences of access to local health services through a health services survey conducted by Rural Doctors Network.
Key strategic documents that outline Council’s commitment to maintaining and building a strong, vibrant and sustainable future for the Leeton Shire community are now on public exhibition following endorsement by Council at its first Ordinary meeting in May.

Leeton Shire Council is proud to support the NSW Police Force's "Be a Cop in Your Hometown" initiative, which aims to make it easier for regional residents to join the police force while staying connected to their families, lifestyle, and community.
This initiative offers several significant benefits for those considering a career in the police force, including:
The starting salary for a probationary constable is approximately $80,733.00, plus allowances in the first year, including shift penalties. Additional benefits include further training, study leave, and the opportunity to pursue one of over 100 specialist paths within the force.
Leeton Shire Council Mayor and Portfolio Lead for Police Liaison, Cr Tony Reneker, said the initiative allows locals to return to our Shire upon completion of their training.
“Not only are they able to maintain ties with their friends and family but also benefit from a rewarding career with the NSW Police Force. It’s an excellent opportunity for our residents to serve and protect their own community," he said.
