Leeton Shire Council is currently developing a Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) which will set out the actions Council will take to improve the inclusion of people living with disabilities in the local community.
Whilst development of the plan is required under legislation, Council is committed to developing the best plan we can to improve the lives of our residents who live day in day out with a disability.
The Disability Inclusion Action Plan is due to be implemented by 1 July 2017.
Leeton Shire Council’s current Ageing Strategy is under review and a revised plan will be available in the second half of the year.

Leeton Community Transport
Leeton Shire Council has a shared service agreement with Narrandera Shire Council for the provision of Community Transport which is funded by Transport for NSW. This significant State Government funding along with a team of generous volunteers makes provision of the service possible.
The Community Transport Program provides transport support for the frail aged, disabled people and their carers, people with special needs and those who are transport disadvantaged throughout the Leeton Shire. This service provides travel for shopping, social events, medical appointments and hospital visiting etc. Bookings must be made at least one day prior if the destination is classed as local.
The Administration Office is located in the Leeton Multipurpose Community Centre. Office hours are 9am to 4:30pm (closed between 1pm–2 pm), Monday to Friday.
