Leeton Shire Council respectfully requests that anyone parking in and around the Roxy Theatre, especially within the Wade and Pine Avenues precincts, adheres to the 2 hour limit during the month of August while the Leeton Eisteddfod is on.
The area around the Roxy is routinely very busy with many people, including older residents and residents with a disability, who need to access nearby facilities such as the Medical Centre, Dentists, Pathology Service, Community Centre and shops.
Council recognises that during the Eisteddfod access to the Roxy is important and parking within Wade Avenue can become very congested. To assist with alternative parking options a map is included below that highlights two large unrestricted car parking areas that are in close proximity to the Roxy – one in Chelmsford Place and the other in Sycamore Street.
Leeton Shire Council rangers will be monitoring the area and may address any inappropriate parking issues.
Council appreciates everyone’s co-operation as this will help Eisteddfod participants, local businesses and residents who need to access important services to happily co-exist during a very busy month.
Leeton Shire Council remains a proud sponsor and supporter of the Leeton Eisteddfod and welcomes all competitors and their families to Leeton.
