About Cr Peter Davidson
Peter Davidson has been a Councillor on Leeton Shire Council since November 2009.
Cr Davidson’s family has built a lifelong legacy within the community with the Davidson family recently celebrating 100 years in Leeton Shire.
Peter was schooled at Stanbridge Primary School and Yanco Agricultural High School. He spent 40 years in the citrus Industry farming and managing a pack-house and has represented the citrus industry at local, regional and national levels for a period of 25 years. He also spent 4 years as Chairman of the National Citrus Growers body.
He feels that the caring nature of our community always rises to the occasion to support a good cause making Leeton Shire a very welcoming and friendly place to live in.
Cr Davidson chose to run again for this term of Council because he believes that he has valuable contributions to make in being an active representative for the community. He lives by the philosophy that if you want to initiate change then a person must be involved in the decision-making. It is too easy to be "all talk and no action".
The need to keep modernising infrastructure and being mindful that the amenities we provide cater for young and old will be a strong focus of his during this term of Council.
